What Is The UMID Card PIN Code In SSS

umid card pin code

You may sign up for an online SSS account and wonder what the UMID card code is. So what is the UMID PIN code exactly and where can it be found?

The United Multi-Purpose ID (UMID) is a Social Security System (SSS) and other government agencies identity card. The UMID card provides personal information of the member, such as the name, address, date of birth and signature, and front photographs. The UMID card also comes with the Common Reference Number (CRN) of the cardholder which is also used as the ID number.

Some SSS members questioned where to find the UMID card pin code. The simple answer is that the UMID PIN number is not located on the UMID card, but is picked individually from the SSS Member when the SSS card is activated at an SSS Express Terminal (SET).

SSS Self-Service Express Terminal (or SSS Information Terminal) is an automated machine or kiosk that enables SSS members to check the status of their loans and advantages, enquire about their eligibility for the credit and benefit, and submit a maternity notice. Members may also visit the SSS website and provide comments via the terminal.

The members can use the SSS Self-Service Express Terminal to activate their UMID card and choose a 6 number PIN code in the form of identification checks. The PIN code is used for queries and transactions each time you use the terminal. You can use fingerprint verification if you do not wish to establish a PIN code.
